farewell january

 

hello dolls, dears, & teddy bears, 

so this post was actually supposed to have been posted before 

the end of january in celebration of officially using this blog 

for a month- however that didn't happen,,

so uh, yay for using this blog for an entire month, am 

so happy to be back here writing again

꒰ྀི ฅ́˘ฅ̀ ྀི꒱

the reason for the delay is because, if you watch my instagram 

stories you may have seen my semi-frequent updates that 

i was completely reorganising & deepcleaning my bedroom..

i really desired it to feel a little more like a "home" with 

better seperation between my very small space, 

that way i could have a proper work & play space instead of 

just, a rectangle in the center of the room which was 

incredibly claustraphobic after awhile;; 

i- didn't anticipate this to take pretty much an entire week 

to do, i thought maybe 3 or 4 days most but nope, 

8 am to 10-12 pm each night was cleaning 

꒰ྀི ㅜㅁㅜ ꒱ྀ 

never again am i going to wait that long to do another 

deep cleaning....

i missed drawing & writing soso much.. 

am eager to return to normal schedule now ♡

especially since i hope to open sketch commissions soon..

i did have one nice break day though during this exhausting 

week, remember in the last post i mentioned how 

my grandma would let me look through her & my 

great-grandma's old cards that they've gathered over the years 

so that i may take some for my collection? 

well i got to, and selected a little over 50 cards- 

majority of which were valentine's cards from the 1940s-1950s?

ྀི꒰っ´༥`ς꒱

however i decided that ill wait to share the valentines in my 

collection until my post closer to that darling day, 

and just share the other greeting cards i also selected ୨୧

the wedding cake card is my favourite and one i  had 

actually seen online before when researching old cards 

for art references! so to actually have it in person 

now, from a late family member, is especially exciting~

of course, unfortunately i didn't really have the chance to 

work on any art the past week so this is also from the end 

of january- a wip on the birthday piece for my dear friend ♡

admittedly am still a little concerned when working with reds 

in my paintings;; but it actually turned out a little more like how 

i anticipated for once ꒰ ៸៸ ◞ ˕ ◟ ៸៸ ꒱

i just need to finish the shading within yet, and hopefully itll be nearly 

done by the end of next week.. 

also a little update regarding the Goatlings design i shared, 

it unfortuntaely did not get accepted in any of the selections i 

put it into.. it was admittedly upsetting, but not unexpected..

there is always chances to try again in future selections throughout this 

year where the design fits, or i may just have to wait until next years 

sweetheart celebration/febuary entry oppurnties again!

despite not making it in, i recieved many compliments & support for the design 

by onsight members & those who seen the wips in the goatlings discord server

so i want to be hopeful one day the antique doll collection 

may become official ꒰ྀི ◌´ `◌ ྀི꒱

now its just a matter of waiting for the sweetheart celebration event to begin, 

as its my favourite event and am eager to add the design that did win to 

my collection of goats ♡

"drei", life three is the time when many of  you dears 

would've probably first encoutnered me or at least 

seen some of my reposted works later on

this is when i finally began going by "thebabydollsheart" 
before i added the "e" only recently.. 

well it's getting late and i must prepare for bed,
